The Brian Werbel Memorial Fund was established at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in 2008. Brian was very passionate about research and spent several summers in the research labs at UH. This fund is dedicated to providing summer fellows an opportunity to focus on cancer research, with the ultimate goal to aid in curing cancer. On a yearly basis, at least one summer fellow is identified by a team of doctors at University Hospitals and receives a grant from the fund in order to conduct his or her research. Because of the generous support the fund has received in the past, there were two summer fellows in 2011, focusing on lung and brain cancer research.
University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center is focused on becoming a leader in cancer research. Your generous donation to this fund will support ongoing research that will ensure that UH SCC physicians and scientists can continue to develop tomorrow’s innovative therapies.
Seidman Cancer Center is a 501(c)3 entity and your donation will be completely tax-deductible.
In 2009, we had a one night only Benefit Concert called "Wicked Rocks" featuring the cast of the First National Tour of "Wicked" at the Hanna Theater in Cleveland, Ohio.
